Tacoma is a mid-sized urban port city and the county seat of Pierce County, Washington. The city is on Washington’s Puget Sound, 32 miles (51 km) southwest of Seattle, 31 miles (50 km) northeast of the state capital, Olympia, and 58 miles (93 km) northwest of Mount Rainier National Park. Tacoma is the second-largest city in the Puget Sound area and the third largest in the state. Tacoma also serves as the center of business activity for the South Sound region, which has a population of around 1 million people.

The Daffodil Festival began in 1934 as an appreciation of the agriculture in Pierce County. The event continues to be a celebration of community and a much-anticipated occasion to gather with friends and family.
Taste of Tacoma, the “Ultimate Summer Get Together” for the past 30 years, brings together 40 restaurants and vendors, craft and artistic creations, plus live entertainment along with cooking demonstrations.
Tacoma Maritime Fest honors the rich tradition of seafaring vessels and the people who commanded, serviced, and welcomed the boats. The festival includes toy making and cruises along Foss Waterway and the Point of Tacoma.
Point Defiance Park is the country’s second largest city park at over 700 acres and home to the Northwest’s only zoo/aquarium combination, Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. Cultivated gardens invite individuals and guided tours through the park. The hiking trails, a marina with boat rentals and launch facilities, a waterfront promenade, and saltwater beaches draw over 3 million visitors each year.

Historical buildings located in the heart of the Theater District in downtown Tacoma, by Pantages Theater or Rialto Theatre, are examples of living urban history.

We have some North Tacoma homes built in the early 1900s that are just as beautiful today as when they first welcomed their owners. The North End neighborhoods are some of the most walkable areas in the city with ample grocery and retail stores, coffee shops.

Within the Proctor district, the community supports the Proctor Farmers Market to promote local agriculture, sustainable business, and a sense of community.

You’ll also find homes like a 1900s Stadium District Tudor overlooking Commencement Bay. Ruston Way, with its unobstructed, panoramic marine, island, and territory views is near Ruston Way Waterfront, adjacent to Defiance Point, and the Tacoma Yacht Club.

The Prospect Hill area offers 180-degree views of the Sound, Mt Baker, Brown’s Point, and Mt Rainier. Dash Points Premiere Areas, in the Northeast part of Tacoma, plus Browns Point, are near Dash Point State Park.
