Welcome to the lovely community of Edgewood, Washington. This charming town is located in Pierce County, less than 10 miles outside of Tacoma and a 30 minute drive away from Seattle. Home to just under 10,000 residents, Edgewood offers its residents a relaxed suburban lifestyle, just a short drive away from the big cities. Edgewood is small, suburban community, just under 9 square miles in area. Situated in north central Pierce County, its neighboring communities include Federal Way to the north, Puyallup to the south, and Milton to the northwest. The town is conveniently located along major thoroughfares, allowing for quick and easy commutes into Seattle and Tacoma. Edgewood’s historical roots can be traced back to the Puyallup tribe, who resided in the area along the Puyallup River, nearby where the town sits today.

William Tolmie was the first non-Native American settler to the area. He discovered the rich resources of this area while in route to Fort Nisqually in 1833. Shortly thereafter, a group of families settled the area. Since then Edgewood and the surrounding area have continued to grow and evolve. Once a stop along a major trade route, this lovely community continues to thrive and welcome visitors to its beautiful backdrop.
